Keano: We Love You!!!!

Oh this one i just could'nt leave out. Had posted it on the 18th of November 2006. This is when Roy Keane retired. Anyway read below.
Roy Keane • Born: 10 Aug 1971, Cork, Ireland • Signed: 19 July 1993, from Nottingham Forest • Fee: £3.75million • Other Previous Clubs: Cobh Ramblers • Debut: 7 Aug 1993 v Arsenal - Charity Shield • International Team: Republic of Ireland What can i say about him... A leader? A Legend? I'd sure go with the legend. Whatever your view on Roy Keane, there’s no doubt he is the centerof the unwavering spirit and desire to succeed that Manchester United stands for.Few sportsmen lead from the front in the way Keane does, both on and off the pitch. Images of him rallying his team-mates whilst covering every inch of grass have been, and still are, frequent occurrences on the field. Keane went on to win the first of his seven Premiership medals in his debut season and has since added a European Cup, an Intercontinental Cup and four FA Cup winners’ medals to his collection. He took over the captaincy from Eric Cantona (another great player) in 97-98 and led United to the treble in 98-99. One of the highlights in his career was winning the treble... besides ofcourse being named the Footballer of the Year and the Players' Player of the Year in 2000. After 12 seasons with Manchester United keane is now leaving behind a huge gap to fill in.How much we would love to have him with us playing for Manchester United and ending his career here where he has been most loyal but all good thigs come to an end...... We'll miss you keano!

My Emotions: Angry, Sad, Embarresed and Disappointed

Neva have I seem a match as the one last nite of Italy v/s USA that has left me in state of emotional turmoil. I was firstly embarresed with the way Italy played. They looked liked a bunch of scared teens running in circles. The USA sliced into their defence on various ocassions like a knife thru butter. The defence that the Italians have always been known for. Except for Fabio Canavarro the rest looked lost at sea. The game from start was a fast paced one. With both teams attacking and both havein equal share of ball possession it looked like an exciting match. Then the USA committed a series of fouls that the Ref let go with a yellow card. And to make things worse. The Ref (who according to me fucked the game up) gave a yellow card to Totti (My hero) for a tackle that was spot on correct. From then on it was a flurry of yellow cards..... and Red cards. Two to USA and one to Italy. The Italian red card was justifyable but the the ones on USA were not. It was total madness afta that....The Italians could have scored more if only they had got the offside correct. In total there were 16-17 offsides from the Italians. The game finally ended in a draw and thank fully with no more red cards. But this leaves the mighty Azzurri's with a must win game against the Czech Republic who are ranked 2nd in the world. A daunting task that can be achieved if the Azzurri's can stay calm and play the beautiful game. And i'll be there to support them every minute of the game as i have always been doin all my life. Forza Italia!!!! peace and love Posted on June 18th 2007

Live the moment, ride the wave....

Ole ole ole ole..... I have been on a high for the last one month. The team i have been supportin since 94' has given me a reason to be so elated. I have been on a different planet since Italy's victory over germany. What a game they played. It's was a classic chess game with both teams moving forward cautiously. Through out the 90 minutes Italy and Germany played out a midfield battle. It was a tensed and agonisingly long night.......With Fabio Cannavaro marshelling his defence to keep the strike force of Podolski and Klose at bay it looked like Italy were gonna nick it 1-0 in regular time. But as all gr8 matches it went into xtra time and looked to be heading for penalties where Buffon's experience and Jens Lehman's previous heroics would be tested. But Fabio Grosso had other idea's. In the 119th min Del Piero's corner kick was directed towards goal but cleared temperorly until the ball fell to Andre Pirlo who passed it to Grosso. On instinct with his first touch Grosso curled the ball past the German goal keeper's right. As the ball hit the net and bounced gingerely the capacity crowd was stunned. And Grosso was the hero for Italy. I was estatic and screaming my lungs out like crazy..... I was still celebrating when i look up and see Del Piero putting another one past the german keeper. This was too much for me to handly. Two goals in the dying two minutes of xtra time.... It was 3 a.m and i was celebrating and screaming and waking up my neighbours too :-) I was outta control. My sis thought i was gonna collapse....Italy are in the Finals! This couldn't have been a betta world cup. I'm just living the moment and have been smiling since Italy's victory over germany....Forza Italia Forza Posted on July 6th 2007

World champions again....

It's been a long long time. To be precise it's been 24 years since the Italians won the world cup. And this victory is so sweet. I am still coming to terms with the fact that we actually won. It was an amazing match. It started off with france winning a penalty. Which according to replays was no where close to being a foul on Malouda. But neva the less Zizou steps up to take the penalty. Zizou being the inspirational player takes a cheeky penalty that hits the cross bar and bounces inside the line - buffon beaten. Sad as Buffon was lookin at keeping a clean sheet for at least 65 minutes to break the previous record. France 1-0 up afta 7 minutes... The Italians then start to press for an equalizer. Playin some good football they get some shots on goal. then comes the killer blow. Pirlo's corner kick connects with Materazzi's head which zips past Barthez. Italy back on level 1-1.... The Italians play sum amazing football in the first half. But afta the break the french men take the came to the Italiand and Buffon had to make sum excetional saves to keep his team in contention for the Cup. The french then launch a series of attack afta attack and the Italian do what they do best DEFEND! Cannavaro (who according to me should have won the Golden Ball) marshelling his defence to perfection to every wave of attack from the french strick force. the match heads into xtra time. The french still attackin and for once the Italian defence leaves zizou unmarked. The cross comes in from the right, Zizou heads the ball, Buffon comes up with an extraordinary save, the best of the match. That is the reason Buffon is the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. With 10 minutes to go the unexpected happens. Zizou the great head butt's Materazzi in the chest. It's a Red card.... France's insperational player is sent off in his last competetive match. What was Zizou thinkin..... Then the inevitable takes place, PENALTIES. Something that the Italians are not good at. I remember very clearly when they lost on penalties to Brazil in the 94' World Cup. They also lost to France on penalties in the quarter finals of the 98' World Cup. But this time it was different.... The Italians converted all 5 penalties. Trezeguet misses his penalty and Italy are the World Champions for the 4th time. They are now the 2nd most successful team afta Brazil (who have won 5 World Cups). Posted on July 12 2006

The Legend: Schumacher

Finally the inevitable has happened. Michael Schumacher has announced his retirement from Formula 1. A sad day for the thousands and thousands of tifosi fans around the world. The moment he won the monza race and was hugin and kissin every crew member I knew it. But just could not come to terms with it. I have supported Michael ever since he moved to ferrari. It has been 10 yrs. Years of triumph and disappointment. I feel like i've been a part of him and have gone thru the same moments with him and felt the same as he felt. I still cant believe that Schumi wont be there on the track for the next season. It wont be the same but life in formula 1 will move on just as it did wen Senna died...... Ferrari have made a great signing though. The "Iceman" Kimi Raikkonen will take over from where Schumacher left off. The Ferrari and Mclaren rivalery will be re-ignited just like in the good old days of Schumi and Mika. We'll have to wait and watch what unfolds next season. But for now we still have 3 races to go and 2 championships to decide. Can schumi continue his form from Monza? will alonso strike back? I guess the best is for last. So lets wait and watch Go Schumi!!!!! We love you.............

Alonso: The Opportunist

How many times can a man get lucky??? well.... in Alonso's case we'll have to keep counting. Specially this has been very lucky for him. And now being on the brink of winning another title..... It's just not right but then we cant help it like a lot of other things in life. Ferrari's first engine failure in 6 years and what a time to come. Shattered, dejected and depressed i walk away from the television to find solice and peace in music as i always do but nothing could cheer me up....I dont even wana imagine what schumi must be goin through. A true sportsman he walked up to his crew and thanked each and every one of em. Now, with just one race left and Alonso needing just one point it looks all but over. As Schumi put it himself "The dream is over" :-( I'm outta here.............. Posted on October 9th

Back tracking......

I suddenly came across some of my blogs on MSN Spaces. Didn't wana leave em there.... so will be posting them here.

A Manchester United fan is born :-)

The new season of EPL 07-08 is dawning upon us…. Are you ready?? Coz believe me we are (Aalia n me). Yeah she’s just been welcomed (with open arms) into the Manchester United Fan Club. She’s one of us now, A Man Utd fan for life. The youngest man utd fan in the family. And I’m proud of it cause not only football but she loves music too, just like me. I’m the happiest person alive. Anyway I had a ball of a time with her for the one month that she was here. I used to wake up and first thing I did was go and check on her. Sleepin like an angel. I’d kiss her n wait for her to wake up. And believe me the first thing she’s do when she woke up was ask for me. She would say “Sha, Sha”. Sean was to difficult for her to say. Though when I was busy with work she would scream out “Sean, Sean”. Until she got my attention. I miss her….. Now I’m sad… thinking of all the moments with her. She used to sit on the kitchen platform and watch me make tea. That’s how she learnt to say milk, in her words “mink”. She would also give me the things that were washed one by one to put in place. Very helpful. I have sum pics of her wt the broom and on a ladder. She’s the best. I Miss You Alu….. aawwah aawwah (those are kisses she used to give me)
