Shame on you Scholes....

It's 2:12 am as i sit here dejected at Manchester United's performance aainst Zenit in the the Super Cup. A game they looked like they wanted to win after 85 mins were up. Totally out classed in a sport we have come to dominate in recent years. It was like as if they were hockey players thrown into a football match and that too a Super Cup Final. After 85 minutes desperation set in and what came after that was something an England International should have known better. Paul Scholes punched the ball ala Diego Maradona style into the Zenit net. I was shocked, ashamed, dejected and just couldn't believe it. A straight red card. If i write any more on the incedent I'll need anti-depressant tablets to recover. So I'll stop. It's almost the end of the transfer season and i've been sayin all along we need an out and out striker. After Ruud Van Nistelrooy was sold to Real Madrid we dont have anyone with the hunger to score. Does this mean we have to depend on C.Ronaldo? I've been a Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for the last 2 years and have followed his progress at Ajax. We need to buy Huntelaar. A striker hungry to score goals. But all said and done, Fergie we trust you. It's just the start of the season. Long way up to May 2009 and if there's anyone who knows better it's Sir Alex Ferguson himself.
United for life!

Drink and Drive, Dont Drink and Dance. Bangalooru's new funda

Nothing's wrong with your eyesight, the title of my blog reads just fine. This is what is bangaluru's new funda. Do not drink and dance. After shutting clubs and pubs at 11:30 pm it's now come to this, NO Dancing. I mean what are they thinkin? No Dancing? Are you serious???? Your supposed to drink and sit glued to your chair? Are we mourning something? oh yeah we are. The decision the government of bangalooru has taken. Absurd ain't the word. Whats the CM B S Yediyurappa and his council of ministers trying to do to bangalooru. Being portrayed as an IT hub with people from all walks of life settling into b'lore and then takin a step backwards is something that has left me clueless. People after a hard days work or over the weekends tend to and want to have fun and enjoy. And the best place to do it is with friends at a Club/Pub with Dj Ivan spinnin some wicked house tunes. Well i'm glad i'm a goan :-) The clubs are open till 3 or 4 am and we can drink (i dont drink is a different thing) or dance to our hearts content. I suggest all people from b'lore should come to Goa and have a blast. It's the place to be......
See you in sunny Goa

Where are the monsoons?

It's almost the end of June and it doesn't feel like the monsoons. It's hot and humid, when it's actually supposed to be raining cats & dogs. I don't like the rains so much.... but as long as I'm in doors with a cuppa coffee/chai I love the rains :-) But now? there is not a drop... On my way to work this morning it was freaking hot to the core. I was wondering whatever happened to those times when it used to rain for days together or just drizzle the whole day. I remember times when I used to make paper boats as soon as it rained, would let it float through the stream of water as i chase it to the end to see it go safely. Oh boy that was fun.... Today after a long long time I made a paper boat, thanks to my beautiful colleague :-) and guess what? They are just lying around in my car waiting for the rains. When will the monsoon season begin?

Forza Italia!!! Azzurri for life.....

It's been a slow start to the Euro 2008 but we are in the quarters and play spain tonight.A loss to the Dutch who after winning the group of death have now been shown the door by the dutch nemesis Guus Hiddink, the Russian coach. Italy then drew with romania and in a do or die match won again France 2-0 :-) Tonight we play spain in what will be a hard fought match with david Villa and fernando Torres lookin to shed away the chokers tag & progress to the semi finals. But Luca Toni has a point to prove as well... and tonight is the night Toni & Cassano have to rise up and score goals. The time is now..... we will triumph. We are the Azzurri's.....
Forza Italia !!!!

FUCK YOU !!!! ref

Alan fuckin Wiley screwed us totally in the match today. 5 min to go and he gave chelsea a penalty. Mind u a controversial penalty. There was no intentional handball. It was the assistant ref who gave the penalty but Alan has the authority & he should have not give it. But all's not over. Two games to go for man utd against West Ham & Wigan. While Chelsea have got Newscastle & Bolton. I'm sure they gonna drop points. We will win the league.... C'mon United it's not over.

New found maturity earns Rio Ferdinand the captain's arm band :-)

The best news i've heard all week... Rio Ferdinand gets to captain England against France in a friendly on wednesday. After Man Utd romped home 3-0 winners against Liverpool this surely is great news for Rio. I'm more than happy, though my mom is extremely delighted as she's a huge Ferdinand fan :-)

Bundle of joy......

Yup thats right, my bundle of joy has arrived. My lil cousin Aalia :-) She's the best, trust me. I woke up at 5 to go pick her up fr the airport. Luckly i didn't have to wait long as she was the first to come out with her mother. Armed with a soft toy for her i tried to woo her. Shy at first she looked the other way and peeped from the corner of her eye but once the 'Green Dragon' poped out she was all mine. Sitting pretty with her toy we came home n the first thing i taught her to say was 'Manchester United'.... yeah the match against Lyon had jst finished a couple of hours earlier, say 3:30 am and I was still groggy fr the late night. Tevez rescued us fr defeat for a 1-1 draw. With 3 mins of the game left Tevez stabed the ball home for a crucial away goal. Now we go back to Old Trafford for the 2nd leg. I'm gonna try and make Alu watch the match with me ;-)

Giggsy: 100 & counting....

In the 100 club

Raul – 114 apps Roberto Carlos – 113 apps Paolo Maldini – 106 apps David Beckham – 103 apps Oliver Kahn – 103 apps Luis Figo – 100 apps Clarence Seedorf – 100 apps Ryan Giggs – 99 apps The list says it all, and now our very own Ryan Giggs will join the elite 100 club of champions league matches tonight against Lyon in France. A loyal soldier for the Red Devils from the tender age of 14 when Sir Alex Ferguson went personally to his house to persuade him to join Manchester United instead of Manchester City and he joined us :-) back then his dribbling skills were compared to Diego Maradona, George Best & Johan Cruyff. In 3 years he turned professional and from then on there was no looking back. He's won the F.A Premier League 9 time, F.A Cup 4 times, League Cup twice, Community Shield 6 times, Champions League once, and the Super Cup once. What more can i say. Just waitin for tonight's match to kick off.

"Fasten Your Seatbelts"

Manchester United v/s Arsenal, FA Cup 5th round... What should we expect. All i can say is nuthin short of fireworks. After United's derby loss to Manchester City this would be the perfect way for The Red Devils to bounch back and go undefeted till the end of the season in all competetions. A victory would boost the moral of the devils sky high, just the tonic we need at this stage of the season. Can we complete the treble??? of course we can. With Manchester United anything is possible right uptill the last second. I just cant wait for the game to kick off. My livingroon is a sea of red with banners & jerseys of United all over. The england flay is up flyin as well :-) It's a perfect setting. Everythig is in place... The battle lines are drawn... As Sir Alex Ferguson say's "fasten your seatbelts", Are you ready?
